I use Essence. When I call other people I do not want them to see my phone number. How can restrict the visibility of my phone number?
You need to activate the feature called Calling line identification restriction (CLIR). New Essence supports the CLIR from the SW version 2.2.4 and higher.
Type *#06# and check the SW version of your Essence. You will see the SW version on the line SW. If your SW version is lower than XI601.2.2.4 please update your Essence, follow this guide.
Please note that the first generation of Essence does not support CLIR. The SW version of the first generation of Essence begins with XG612.
Once your Essence SW is up-to-date you can manage the CLIR by typing the following codes. Please confirm each code by the button with green tick:
|*31#||Activates the CLIR – the number of calling party will be hidden.|
|#31#||Deactivates the CLIR – the number of calling party will be shown.|
|*#31#||Shows the current status of CLIR.|
You can also put a prefix before the dialled number:
||#31#123456789||Hides the number of calling party during this call only.|
||*31#123456789||Shows the number of calling party during this call only.|
